Airplane Model
Why?
In this project, I was assigned to create a aircraft of the model Boeing 737-400. I was able to use a CAD program that I have not used before: OpenVSP. This program is more free flow and allowed me further enhance my skills in creating models. The purpose of the assignment was to better understand the components of Aeronautical crafts and to improve free flow modeling ability.
How?
To successfully create this product, I had to find pictures and create the model from several different views at the same time. Exact measurements and constrains are limited in BOEING aircrafts. They are not easily accessible. Therefore, tracing is the most efficient way to create this product. I used Top view and front view to trace and create this product.
Results
While using the top view and front view, I was able to successfully create the model of the outer body. Here are the results from different views and angles.
